Ranjit moved to New Zealand from Kenya with his young family in 2000 to take advantage of the many opportunities Auckland offered young migrants. Ranjit joined a Leading Major Bank in Auckland and worked there for seventeen years in a variety of senior Lending roles. Ranjit has always lived on Auckland’s North Shore and loved it since since day one.
After this extended innings with the bank Ranjit decided to make his lending experience available directly to the public. Ranjit realised he wanted to help home buyers personally and directly. Ranjit came across instances where the clients were being declined when solutions were available or were being given responses which were not in their best interests. The desire to put this right led to the decision to start up Menon Mortgages in 2017.
Ranjit’s long track record of successful lending within the corporate environment has given him an in depth understanding of what makes the big wheels of mortgage finance turn in New Zealand. Having worked in a retail and business credit assessment environment gives him an edge as he knows exactly which deals do actually get across the line in the end.
