Construction loans

Building a home can be a rewarding and beneficial move to make. New homes are built to modern building code and standards. This will result in a much warmer, drier and healthier home for you and your family.

You can buy a section and build, buy a house and land package, or purchase a brand new home on a turnkey basis. Each of these options involves varying levels of involvement on your part. Building a home may be a tad stressful if not well managed.
Currently given the prevailing market conditions of housing shortage we are able to arrange finance up to 95% LVR on turn-key builds and also up to 90% LVR on progress payment builds. This is because the RBNZ wants to increase the stock of housing. Construction loans are there for exempt from the RBNZ BS 19 restrictions.
As your adviser we will work with you to manage the process from start to finish efficiently and with minimum stress. We will sweat the small stuff so you don’t have to. Give us a call and we can discuss the steps to take to build your dream home.

You may also need to use a bridge facility in the event that your bank says no. These types of bridging facility are provided by non-bank lenders and are a useful short term option.
